Opalescence Teeth Whitening Gel is a fast, safe, and effective tooth whitening system. The whitening gel is a thick solution that’s dispensed to patients by Dr. Brennick. It’s applied by the patient at home using a custom-fitted tray that’s clear and inconspicuous.

Instructions

After removing the cap from the Opalescence PF syringe tip, express the contents evenly toward the front of the tray. One-fourth (¼) of the syringe will be necessary for each arch.

The soft, custom-fitted tray is usually worn for one-half (½) hour as directed. Firmly seat the tray and expectorate.

After the prescribed time, remove the tray. Expectorate the residual gel from your teeth and then rinse the tray with cold water. The tray should be removed before eating or drinking. DO NOT smoke while bleaching. Keep your follow-up visit in approximately 3 weeks until bleaching is completed. CAUTION: over-bleaching is possible, please keep follow-up appointments as directed.

Please Remember: Over-Bleaching Is Possible

Teeth are naturally darker along the gum line. These areas may require more time to lighten than the rest of the tooth surface and usually remain slightly darker. Restorations (fillings) and crowns will not change color with bleaching. You may notice very slight uneven bleaching. It will usually resolve in a short time.

A small percentage of patients experience sensitivity with bleaching. The potassium nitrate in this Opalescence PF should help prevent this. If sensitivity occurs and persists, contact your dentist. It may be recommended that you bleach every second or third day.

Some patients have noticed temporary discomfort of the gums, lips, throat, or tongue. Should any of these symptoms persist, discontinue use for two days and then begin bleaching again.

Keep out of reach of children and pets, and away from heat.

• Do not use tobacco products while wearing your custom trays.
• Do not use household products to whiten your teeth.
• To protect the bleaching gel, do not expose the syringes to heat or sunlight.
